Nikkiady Arief: Accountant of the Future

The Shuriken family is getting bigger and bigger. Today, we’re giving a warm welcome to our newest accountant from the Sydney CBD Office.
His name is Nikkiady Arief and he’s a young professional passionate about both accountancy and the future, aka IT.
Let’s get to know him better!
Accountancy + IT = a bright future
When Nikkiady came to Shuriken, he had already been practising accountancy for some time at a small accounting practice. He was able to gain a vast experience at this small company doing bookkeeping and accounting.
Sounds pretty good, right?
Well, for our determined accountant, this wasn’t enough. He didn’t want to limit his education, so he decided to specialise in one more field. He knew technology was the future, so he did his MBA in “Accounting Information System and IT”, while still working.
”IT and accounting are inseparable. They complement each other,” says Nikkiady.
We are beyond happy to welcome him into our Shuriken family! We’re constantly on the lookout for young professionals with potential and passion for making the future better. Nikkiady is by far the perfect fit for our team!

Nikkiady is an avid volleyball player.
Ever since he was a teenager, he fell in love with volleyball and never let go. Every Thursday, you can find him practising and having fun with the ball… that’s real love.
Tip time
Using technology is a good thing but it’s also very important to double check everything you enter into the system.
Great communication and double-checking, this is the secret to successfully mastering technology in accountancy. It’s also a full-proof way to minimise system errors.
Tip: An accurate database will make your job as an accountant much easier. Make sure you keep your database updated!

In his spare time, Nikkiady is a video game lover. He’s especially into PlayStation and Nintendo games.
