What is your occupation and what services do you provide?
I am a Finance and Mortgage Broker. Offering finance solutions for not just your home loan/ refinancing/debt consolidation needs but also for your small business lending needs too.

How long have you been in the finance industry?
Since 2002! So many changes in this time.
What do you do for your customers that sets you apart from other brokers?
Pink Finance is one of Australia’s most awarded Broking Firm for Ethics, Social Responsibility and Community Engagement for the work we do with the McGrath Foundation. We fight the fight to get things done. It is a different market out there and knowledge of the changes and relationships with our lender partners is key. Many times an Approval has initially been declined. The experience my team has ensures we keep fighting to get your loan sorted.
What role does communication play in helping you operate a successful business?
It is paramount. We must communicate on time to give our clients peace of mind but also we need to have the right information communicated to us from customers.
What would you say to first home buyers who are struggling to get into the property market?
Whilst you may not be able to afford to buy where you may desire to ….. now ….. perhaps look at purchasing a property more affordable in a different location as a short-term plan OR look at purchasing an investment property that is affordable. There are many ways to get into the property ladder. It doesn’t have to be the property you live in.
What’s the most important lesson you’ve learned in business?
Honesty with customers, with your referral partners, lender partners.
What’s the best piece of advice you’ve received?
My dad said to me when I first started my mortgage broking business “Nicole, if you have a gut feeling and a loan just doesn’t sit right with you, then don’t do it”. Such wise words, my gut has been seen to be correct on a few occasions and have walked away from loans that did not fit with our company values…. and I get to sleep at night!
What are your favourite hobbies?
I love getting away to my property near Oberon in Central West of NSW where I potter in my veggie garden and reboot. I play in the NSW Fire & Rescue Band playing trombone and the Euphonium which is great fun. I love cricket (spectating) love travel, swimming and anything that involves friends, family, good food and good wine!
